Lean Belt Certification Program

A process improvement strategy that focuses on the elimination of waste so that each step in the process creates value in the eyes of the CUSTOMER. To accomplish this, lean thinking changes the focus of management from optimizing separate functions, technologies and assets to optimizing the flow of the product or service through the entire process from
request to delivery.

Eliminating waste along the entire “value stream”, instead of at isolated points, creates processes that need less resources, less space, and less time to make products
and services at far less costs and with much fewer defects, compared with traditional process approaches. Companies are able to respond to changing customer needs with high quality, low cost, and with very fast
response times. As an added bonus, employees appreciate the focus on valueadded activities and enjoy the simplicity and visibility of the success of their work.
