Black Belt Certification Program

'“Black Belts”, a term created by Motorola and the Six Sigma Academy, are on-site Six Sigma implementation specialists, agents of change, fully responsible for driving business results through the application of Six Sigma tools and techniques. Black Belts require specialized training to gain a thorough understanding of Six Sigma philosophy, methods and quality management tools and techniques. These are the individuals who implement the practices, principles and techniques of Six Sigma for achieving maximum improvements and cost reduction.

A Black Belt leads a defined project, working strictly on defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling processes to reach the desired outcomes. Black Belts focus on disciplined problem solving, practice specific skills, use a defined set of tools and help in rooting out variations and identifying the vital few factors that affect the process. They are dynamic human assets who harness the power of knowledge to achieve enhanced performance, customer satisfaction and profitability for their organization.

KPMG’s Six Sigma Black Belt training consists of a comprehensive four-phase program. These training phases are conducted over a four month period.
