CMMI Official Course 2005
General Information about the course
- This three-day course introduces participants
to the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®) fundamental
concepts. CMMI models are tools that help organizations improve
their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services.
CMMI models are an integration of best practices from proven process
improvement models, including the CMM® for Software, EIA 731,
and the Integrated Product Development CMM. This course focuses
on the CMMI models with a staged representation.
- This course is a prerequisite for CMMI
Assessment Team Training and CMMI Lead Assessor Training
Audience for the program
- Systems and software engineering managers
and practitioners, CMMI appraisal team members, Engineering Process
Group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members, Software Quality Assurance team
members and Senior Management.
- Members from Organization who intend to
implement in CMMI in future
- Those who want to qualify for Assessment
Team Training or Lead Assessor Training
- Future managers including management students
- Any other professional members who are
doing research, innovations or consulting in process improvement
practices

There are no pre-requisites to this course.
Topics covered during
the Program
Introduction, Model-based process improvement, Overview of CMMI
models and the staged representation, Maturity levels, Process areas
of CMMI models, Interpreting CMMI in the context of implementation,
How organizations have benefited from CMMI, Sharing implementation
experience.
Objective
The course will help participants to:
- understand at a high level the CMMI Product
Suite
- be able to locate and begin to apply relevant
information in the model for their organization
- understand the key concepts about model
structure and function, and important model relationships
- be aware of the components of the CMMI
models and how they may be applied to their organization
- apply CMMI principles to meet their organizations'
business objectives
Course Material Course Material will be provided by KPMG
Certificate/Credits
On successful completion participants who will receive a certificate
from the Instructor, which is recognized by SEI.
Course Fee
Rs. 35000 per participant. Rs 32000 per participant if three OR
more participants from the same organization. Payment to reach KPMG
on OR before 25th Dec, 2005. Early bird discount 10 % before 25th
Dec, 2005.
